Eddie Redmayne, the actor who played Newt Scamander in the film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” was born in 1983. He was a student when he had a part in a play called “The Crucible.” In the play, Redmayne was given a role where he had to say one line four times in a row. In his fourth reading of the line, he accidentally mixed his salt with a fellow actor’s. The actor almost lost his sight for a day because of his mistake.

Despite this mishap, Redmayne said that it was a positive experience and that he learned from it. He told People magazine: “I was going to have to read it five times, but fortunately I did it four times and I nearly went blind. That’s what happened! So I’ll take that little bit of bad luck any time!”
